The national female costume of Panama





The skirt is the national female costume of Panama. The skirt is very special for Panamanian people because the skirt has a lot of special details. The drawstring shirt in wool and topped with speck, although white skirts are traditionally worn without tape speck. The skirt is attached to sabana or shawl. The jewelry is very colorful and includes about nine chains, or a necklace top bone in throat, and various additional elements such as buttons on the waistband, purse, rings and bracelets. the shoes are also decorated with little bells, that can be made of pearl or fish scales, gold combs and thoughts, small patches of gold attached to the temples.

Panamanian gastronomy 



Panama's cuisine is the result of historical influence in the country by the Amerindian, Spanish, African and Afro-Caribbean cultures. It is characterized by high consumption of rice in various forms and preparations, as well as soups,  the most popular of which resemble stew. Other ingredients are corn, bananas, chicken  meat, fish and seafood, with which various dishes and fried foods are prepared. The roots and tubers have dominance in the diet of Panama, highlighting cassava, yams, nampi; the taro and potato are less popular. Despite the small size of the country, the great cultural diversity of the isthmus to identify some regional variations. In Panama, for breakfast, fried foods are common, including corn tortillas, fried cassava, beef and pork. For lunch, we almost always eat rice with meat and vegetable stews or soups. For dinner you can eat something a little lighter and easier to cook.

Panamanian Folkloric Music




Panamanian folk music rests rhythmically in africa rhythms brought by slaves to Panama at time of Spanish colonization. Melodically speaking has a strong European influence, mainly from Spain, specifically in the regions of Andalusia and galicia lesser extent. Indian music is what has exerted lees influence in Panamanian mestizo folk music. In Panama the chantey singing is inevitable, the use of maracas and flutes, known in different regions as "whistles" that are from native Americans Panamanians. The influence is without prejudice to say that in the indigenous regions, their music is eminently of his race with few foreign influences.
